The ACNC is asking for help in reaching charities they have not been able to contact since they commenced operation in December 2012. When the ACNC commenced, these charities were automatically registered based on information from the ATO. Attempts to contact these charities have failed.
A new page on the ACNC website allows people to search for charities by name, location or ABN. People are asked to check this list to see if they are involved with or have any knowledge of any of the charities. Charities who do not make contact will have their registration as charities revoked.
