The Joint World Conference on Social Work, Education and Social Development is being held from 9 – 12 July, 2014 in Melbourne. The conference is the first pillar of the Global Agenda, the joint statement of the International Federation of Social Workers, the International Association of Schools of Social Work, and the International Council of Social Welfare.
Issues addressed will be health inequalities, environmental social work, disability, ageing, sexuality, mental health, child and family welfare, and field education. In addition, husiTa, an international human service and information technology organisation will be running its 10th conference within the program addressing the theme of “ensuring the sustainable and ethical use of technology in human services”.
