The consultation period on the 2014 AIS has now closed. The ACNC are currently reviewing the submissions. The ACNC have said there has been a general endorsement for much of the proposed approach to the 2014 AIS.
However some specific concerns have been raised such as:
- the amount of financial information being requested
- possible misuse of the data
- the nature of some questions that require particular levels of financial literacy
- the need for certain information such as for business activity.
The ACNC will modify the 2014 AIS to address these key concerns. A revised version of the 2014 AIS will be available as soon as the guidance material is finalised – this should be in the next few weeks. We will keep you posted.
