Laws allowing electronic signing and use of technology to hold meetings likely to become permanent

On 20 October, the Corporations Amendment (Meetings and Documents) Bill 2021 was introduced into the Australian Parliament. If the Bill is passed, it will make temporary laws to allow company officers to sign and witness documents electronically and companies to hold meetings using video conferencing technology permanent from 1 April 2022.
