A report on the likely new organisation proposed to enhance the charities and not-for-profit sector in Australia is expected to be delivered to the Minister for Social Services, Kevin Andrews in July. An interim report is being prepared by the Centre for Social Impact – which is a collaboration of the University of New South Wales, Swinburne University of Technology, The University of Western Australia and The University of Melbourne – outlining possible models for establishing the new National Centre for Excellence for Civil Society. The National Centre for Excellence for Civil Society has been suggested as a successor to the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
