The Western Australian Government is offering funding of up to $200,000 to local government and nfp community groups to support victims of crime and facilitate crime prevention programs. Funds have been derived from criminal assets seized by police. Previous funds have assisted to advocate on behalf of young victims of crime, support women from different cultural backgrounds who were experiencing violence, and engage at-risk youth by helping them rescue native fauna and clean up waterways. The closing date for applications is 19 September 2014.
