Fund My Idea ‰ÛÒ Woodworking Centre in the Adelaide Hills

The SA Government has a new regional grant program called ‘Fund My Idea” where $50,000 is distributed between 3 organisations on a basis of how many people vote for their idea. Hills Community Options Inc. would like to improve a woodworking centre which they lease and is used by persons with a disability living in the Adelaide Hills. The project has positive and long term benefits for people with a disability, helping them to train, work, and create.

If successful the grant would be used to refurbish and renovate an undercover area so that it could be upgraded and enlarged. The centre could then by available to wider sections of the community and run on a social enterprise model involving the manufacture, marketing and sales of hand made wooden objects.
