The Government has commissioned a review to consider the capabilities of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
The scope and purpose of the review is to examine, and make recommendations on how efficiently and effectively ASIC operates to achieve its strategic objectives.
The capability review will be forward-looking and not a backward-looking performance review. It will assess ASIC’s ability to meet future regulatory challenges and seek to ensure that it is equipped with the capabilities – the leadership, strategy, people and processes – needed to deliver on its remit for the benefit of consumers, investors and creditors.
