With the day-to-day demands of running a not-for-profit organisation, it can be easy to overlook small things like the accuracy of your Australian business number (ABN) record.
When you get an ABN, your details are available to the public on the Australian Business Register (ABR) so they can verify your organisation and GST status.
So remember to update your ABN details within 28 days if your organisation’s details change, including your:
- addresses – business location, postal and email
- contact details
- business structure
- officeholders
- or any other details.
You can update your details quickly and instantly online using Manage ABN Connections or your AUSkey. You can also update them by lodging a form or by contacting the Australian Business Register.
